Origin Story
Originally a student-run bar beneath Nichols College’s Daniels Auditorium, The Bison Den opened in October 1968 exclusively for students 21 and older. The lounge was open weekdays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m and would operate on a year-long basis until closing in 1985. The Den would continue to host events on an intermittent basis until officially closing its doors in the early 2000s.
Present Day
In 2018, Nichols College bought Dudley Hill Golf Club as it had already been leased out from 1949-1999, and now currently serves as the home practice facility for the Nichols College Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. In February 2022, the Nichols College President’s Council succeeded in reviving the Bison Den with the hope of providing Nichols College students an exceptional and memorable student life experience. We are currently available to book private college events, while also hosting various live events to the general public during the spring and summer seasons!
